Be-Known

Hello, I’m Lia.

My name is Caecilia Hapsari, but most people simply call me Lia.

I am Indonesian, currently living and working in Dubai, where I have spent much of my career in Human Resources, learning about people, growth, change, and the stories we all carry with us.

I love coffee, even though my body sometimes disagrees with me. I can never say no to noodles. I enjoy travelling, discovering new places, observing how people live, and learning from the small moments that often go unnoticed.

I started blogging many years ago without really knowing what I was doing.

Like many first blogs, my posts were a little bit of everything—travel notes, reflections, recipes, life lessons, random thoughts, and whatever happened to be on my mind that day. Looking back, the content may have been scattered, but the intention was always the same: to make sense of life and to share what I learned along the way.

That intention eventually became Be-Bulb.

Why Be-Bulb?

The name is inspired by a simple image: a light bulb.

A light bulb doesn’t remove all darkness. It simply provides enough light to help us see the next step.

That is what I hope this blog will be.

A place to stay curious.

A place to reflect.

A place to learn.

A place to plan.

A place to explore.

A place to be grateful.

Most of all, a place to be human.

The inspiration also comes from one of my favourite passages in Scripture:

“Let there be light.”

Those four words have always reminded me that even the smallest light can make a difference.

What You’ll Find Here

Be-Bulb is organised around a few themes that reflect the things I care about most:

Be-Well — health, wellbeing, and growing older with grace

Be-Curious — questions, discoveries, and lifelong learning

Be-Reflective — stories, memories, and lessons from everyday life

Be-Grateful — faith, gratitude, and appreciating life’s blessings

Be-Planning — retirement dreams, finances, goals, and future adventures

Be-Exploring — travel, culture, and experiences from near and far

Some posts will be thoughtful. Some will be practical.

All of them are pieces of my journey.

Thank you for stopping by.

I hope you find something here that encourages you, inspires you, or simply reminds you that you’re not alone on your own journey.

Be still. Keep the faith. Let there be light.

“Still learning, still exploring, still looking for the light. — 11:19”
